She graduated from the German School of Athens with honours and successfully entered the Medical School of Athens. She served her rural service in the prefecture of Heraklion, Crete, at the Haraka Health Centre. She was then a research associate at the Laboratory of Immunology of Infections at the 4th Pathology Clinic of Attikon University Hospital for 3 years, during which she wrote her thesis and participated in studies while working in the laboratory, mainly in flow cytometry. For her PhD she received a scholarship from the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). She presented her PhD thesis in 2011. She did her residency in pathology at the 4th University Pathology Clinic at Attikon Hospital under the direction of Professor E. Yamarellou, where she was also involved in the Infectious Diseases Unit of her clinic. As a specialist pathologist, she worked at the pathology clinic of the Hospital Hygeia under the direction of pathologist Foula Vassilara initially, where she participated in the on-call program of the hospital. She then worked in the Check up department of the Hospital Hygeia and had a private practice in Marousi. Since 2020, she has been appointed as a permanent attending physician B at the Amalia Fleming hospital unit of the Sismanoglio general hospital. In addition to her clinical duties, she participates in the operation of the pioneering outpatient multidisciplinary geriatric clinic “65+”, is vice chairman of the hospital’s infectious diseases committee and a member of the Greek Institute of Sepsis and the Greek Chemotherapy Society.
