Cristina Papi is a medical doctor with a special interest in the biochemistry of nutrition. She graduated from the Medical School of Bologna, where she worked after her studies and carried out research at the corresponding Institute of Biochemistry. She completed her specialty in haematology in Athens, serving at the Ippokratio, Evangelismos and G. Gennimatas Hospitals. She has participated in the writing of studies related to hepatopathies and myelodysplastic diseases, as well as in many conferences on the use of plant nutrition in medical practice. She is a strong advocate of the totally plant-based diet and focuses on informing the Greek medical community about the benefits in terms of prevention and better outcome of many diseases that this diet offers.
