Ifigenia Bakella

Founder Genesis Hellas

Ifigenia Alexandra Bakella studied Law and Human Rights at the University of Essex, where she completed her Master’s degree on “Refugee Care”, focusing on the psychosocial approach to refugees and other vulnerable populations. She has been actively involved in volunteering and human rights advocacy since the age of 15, which led her to found her own organisation, Genesis Hellas, in 2018. The organization focuses on fighting poverty and supporting vulnerable populations, with a particular focus on the homeless in Athens. Ifigenia is the 3rd generation vegan in her family and as of 2022, when she welcomed her son, he is the 4th generation of vegans, proving that a vegan diet can support all phases of our lives. Her goal is to spread the plant-based lifestyle. With a vision to improve society and create positive change, she continues to volunteer to support vulnerable communities and spread volunteerism and empathy towards every living organism.
