He studied at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the International Hellenic University. He obtained a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition in the two-year postgraduate program ‘Applied Dietetics-Nutrition’ at the Harokopio University of Athens. He received postgraduate training in herbal therapy at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has participated in important academic research projects such as ‘The Postmenopausal Health Study’, ‘Healthy Growth Study and Helena (Healthy Lifestyle in Europe by Nutrition in Adolescence)’. He writes articles and lectures on plant-based nutrition related to the prevention and treatment of clinical conditions. He is the author of the first Greek book on plant-based nutrition: ‘Meat? No thanks. A Nutrition Guide for Vegetarians’, which was first published in 2014. He has published papers in international journals. He teaches the course entitled ‘Vegetarian Diet in Pregnancy’ in collaboration with the Laboratory of Hygiene, Social & Preventive Medicine and Medical Statistics of the Department of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He runs a dietetic office in the center of Thessaloniki. He is a member of the Union of Dietitians and Nutritionists of Greece and founder of the vegetarian dietetic information website www.plantbased.gr. As a runner, he has completed many half-marathons and marathons.
