He studied medicine in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he graduated with honours. He served his rural medical practice in Agathonisi (Dodecanese islands) where he was honored by the president of the island for his activity and the staffing of the local clinic. He did his specialization in gastroenterology at ‘Tzaneio Hospital of Piraeus’ and received a scholarship from the Hellenic Foundation of Gastroenterology to specialize at ‘St Mark’s Hospital of London’ where he was involved in Research, Idiopathic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Diseases of the Esophagus and Rectum and Therapeutic Endoscopy. From 2013 to 2016: scientific head of the Gastroenterology Department at the Polyclinic ‘Iatrosimo’ and maintained a private practice. The high-risk interventional operations were performed at the ‘Athens Medical Center – Iatriko Athinon’. External scientific collaborator at the University of Athens and at the General Hospital of Athens ‘Evangelismos’. In March 2015 he obtained the European Diploma in Gastroenterology. In August 2016 he conducted training in Osaka, Japan in therapeutic endoscopy, mainly in the ESD method. In 2016, he started working in Sweden at Karlstad Public Hospital and in 2019, he started working at Norsepping Public Hospital. He further specialised in the Department of Oesophagus in advanced treatment methods for cancer and rare diseases of the oesophagus. From 2021 to 2022, he served as the director of the gastroenterogy unit. In January 2024 he returned to Greece and is working at the Sismanoglio – Amalia Fleming Hospital.
